Before I Die...

I want to:
  • Dive in the Great Barrier Reef
  • Go to Bermuda again
  • Marry the best man for me
  • Meet Shirley Barber
  • Become a famous artist
  • Be a research scientist
  • Walk on the moon or I.S.S. (International Space Station)
  • Have 2 or 10 kids; not sure which
  • Go on the best honeymoon I possibly could
  • Go to a few concerts whether to play in or watch
  • Master the piano
Those are just a few things of many I want to accomplish!

That sounds good, Julia! I want two kids, because it'll be easier to take care of.

Sweet dreams take the first step toward becoming our realities when we write them down! You're on your way!

I love that you've begun your list. It's never too early to get started. I was in a sort of rut a few years back feeling kinda bored with my life so I came up with a new year's resolution to do one new thing each month to expand my little world. It could be just stopping at that gallery or beach I never stopped at before, or a new restaurant or play or event. It really pulled me out of my rut, looking for and actually doing things I'd always put off before. I think I did it for 2 years in a row before I stopped making a conscious effort.

Now with my 2 little kids, there's no rut as I get to watch them explore and learn things I'm so accustomed to through new eyes. I'm still thinking we need 1 or 2 more kids. Siblings are so great - and sometimes they can be the catalyst you need to get out there and check things off your Life's To Do list. Then again, sometimes they want you to do insane things with them from their bucket list - like swim with sharks in freezing water. In that case, having a bunch of siblings isn't such a great idea afterall.

you have such an interesting list doll! such awesome ambitions!

how bout this:

you can meet the best man to be your husband while playing the piano that you've mastered during a concert and art show in bermuda...where, as a famous artist, you're exhibiting the art you've created to achieve balance in your life as a scientific researcher. this man happens to be an astronaut, and he is able to commandeer the space shuttle to fly you two on a honeymoon to the international space station. on the way home you could detour through australia, where you meet shirley barber and dive the GB Reef. then you could be like Pioneer Woman, Ree, (who got pregnant on her honeymoon in Australia,) and start your family of 2 or 10 kids, whichever you decide on.

And i'll get to be granny to all of the cute little bunchkins!
