Hubble Space Telescope

For 15 years the Hubble Space Telescope has been taking amazing pictures of our universe. It has done 4 servicing missions, 88,000 orbits, and traveled two billion miles. It is "humanity's window" on the universe, newborn stars, magestic nebulae, and faraway galaxies. With over 700,000 observations of colliding galaxies, crashing comets, and planets beyond our solor system, it has proved black holes are real, discovered dark energy, and found galaxies near the dawn of time. It has shown us the deepest views of the universe, determained the age of the universe, and is the most succsessful science mission in history.

Someday I want to work on mysteries in photos that were taken by telescopes like the Hubble. I love the Hubble Space Telescope. It is really awsome!!!

Birds

I love Birds. I just think they can be so amazing in their wing colors sometimes like this rainbow colored bird and this beautiful parrot. When you look at the tips of the parrots feathers its just amazing how such a beautiful bird can form out of these tiny tips. I'm also thankful at how birds help us-by eating bad bugs even though they sometimes eat berries and other things from our gardens. Birds are so cool. I'm glad that there are birds!

Fish

Fish are so cool. Today I saw a these humungus fish in the Winooski river.They were about two feet long, and they were all swimming in a big school of fish. I really wanted to take a picture of them, but we didn't have a camera with us. I found these pictures of other kinds of fish though. The blue and red ones are Cardinal Tetras and the others are Angel Fish. These are tropical freshwater fish and they don't swim in Lake Champlain but I really liked these pictures. Fish are amazing. I love them!

Butterflies

Today I caught a little moth and started getting intrested in butterflies for the day. I was looking for some pretty butterfly pictures when I found this one. I absolutley loved it! So I decided to put it on my blog. Butterflies are some of my favorite creatures. I think its amazing how they survive all that time in their cocoons. There wing patterns can be so amazing and beautiful. I really love butterflies. They are so cool!

Camouflage

Today I found a little toad and I named it Camouflage. I named it that because when I first found it I thought it was a rock. Then I realized that it was really a cute little toad. I was wondering what kind of toad it was but I couldn't figure it out even though I looked at my favorite frog calls site. I love Camouflage. I'll miss him when I let him go!

Lorenzo's Oil

Last night I went to see a movie called Lorenzo's Oil with my dad. We watched it in a confrence room at daddy's work. The movie was about a boy named Lorenzo who had a bad disaese called A.L.D. Lorenzo's parents would not just sit there though. They asked questions, learned from doctors, and studied on their own, trying to find a cure for Lorenzo. And happily their hard work payed off. They found out that these certain kinds of oils mixed together make a special kind of medicine to help cure him. Lorenzo is now 27 years old and not completly cured, but he has very much inproved. Lorenzo's Oil is a wonderful story. I really liked it!

I love how this picture is just nice and bright, the walls look glossy and the pastries just make my mouth water.
